Nowadays, the colorful parasols in Haeundae are in the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s largest number of beach
umbrella, and it became the icon of Heaundae. (There are 7937 parasols in Haeundae in summer season, and the numbers
are in the Guinness Book of Records) Every year, seven thousands of parasols are made by nine companies, and the parasols
are sold for 30,000won each with the companies’ logos that occupy half of the proportion of parasols.
However, the number of parasols is just used during the two months summer season and most of them except 2,000 parasols
which are in good condition to be used next year are discarded. (Most parasols can’t be reused because the direct rays of
the son faded the parasol, and steel frames are rusted by salty seawater.)
Because of the problem, This product is planned to reuse the used Haeundae parasols to make bags, pouch bags, and other
accessories that are made through the process of collecting, separation, washing, cutting, sewing, ironing, and packing,
and these products will become representative products in Busan.
